Who we are

The Progressive Peace Association (PPA) operates this contribution and savings application for its registered members and approved applicants.

Information we collect

Account details you provide: full name, phone number, email address, residential address and your PPA Member ID.

Membership application details: next of kin, guarantor details and identification numbers, which are stored in protected form and viewable only by the President and Treasurer.

Financial records: contributions, savings, share capital, entrance payment, loan applications, repayments, withdrawals and payment receipts you upload.

Technical information needed to keep your account safe, such as sign-in activity and the device description used to sign in.

How we use your information

To operate your membership account and show your balances and history.

To process applications, approvals, payments, disbursements and repayments under the association's Treasurer and President approval rules.

To send you notifications about applications, approvals, payments and account activity.

To keep an audit trail of official association decisions, as required for financial accountability.

Biometric sign-in

If you turn on fingerprint or face sign-in, the check happens on your own device. PPA never receives, sees or stores your fingerprint or face data.

Payments

Card and bank payments are handled by our payment provider. PPA does not store your full card details. Bank account details you supply for disbursement are stored securely and shown only in masked form to authorised officers.

Sharing

We do not sell your information. It is shared only with authorised PPA officers for their official duties, with our payment and hosting providers, and where the law requires it.

Storage and security

Information is stored on secured servers, protected by access rules that limit each officer to the records their role permits. Sensitive keys and credentials are never held inside the mobile app.

Your choices

You can view and update your profile in the app, request a correction of your records through the Treasurer, and ask for your membership records to be closed when you permanently leave the association, subject to settlement of outstanding obligations and the association's record-keeping duties.

Children

The app is intended for adult members of the association and is not directed at children.
